Creating a sense of community, nowadays, can be a task. I have found, the only things that bring people together, from all walks of life, are sports and music. The pillars of British culture sit heavily on football and music, and in a world that is often so full of conflict and hate, football and music sits in that middle ground, where everyone is there for the same reason.

Music creates memories. It sets the tone in wins and loses, in pre-match focus, and post-match chaos. It’s there for locking in , for tuning into your team, for celebrating blue-moon celebrations, or holding it together after a tough one. Music and football are perfectly intertwined, and its hard to imagine what one would be without the other.

Imagine the stands were quiet instead of belted tunes. Wembley or Basel without Sweet Caroline echoing through the summer of 22 and 25. Music is in its walls.

So we’ve pulled together the ultimate women’s football playlist, built from the songs your favourite players actually love. The ones tied to big moments, dressing-room rituals, tournament runs and title celebrations. Wherever you are, these tracks take you straight back there.

And if your ears are still ringing from the sounds of summer, you’re not alone

The Lionesses are famously tapped into their music, and during tournament runs, they’ve never been shy about letting us in. From the dressing room to the bus, from post-match celebrations to open-top parades, their soundtrack has become part of the story.

The Lionesses’ Greatest Hits

  • River Deep, Mountain High - Tina Turner - Forever linked to Rachel Daly belting it out at the Euros 2022 victory parade in Trafalgar Square. Once you hear it, you’re back there.

  • Does Your Mother Know - ABBA - Peak Euro 2022 dressing-room energy, especially after the semi-final win over Sweden…

  • Unwritten - Natasha Bedingfield - A classic belter. Ultimate hype song. Main-character energy.

  • Freed From Desire - Gala - The universal language of winning. From stadiums to streets to living rooms, if this is playing, you know the job’s been done. The song of champions.

  • I’m Still Standing - Elton John - Oldie, goldie, immaculate vibes.

  • Walking on Broken Glass - Annie Lennox - If there’s one off-pitch memory from that summer, it’s Ella Toone absolutely owning the Broken Glass trend. Iconic behaviour.

  • Burna Boy - Pretty much any track. After Burna Boy appeared at the 2025 parade, he became permanently linked with the Lionesses. Even Sarina Wiegman’s a fan, which tells you everything you need to know…

  • Young Hearts Run Free - Candi Staton - Karaoke classic, winning mentality. A great way to get any feelings out, post-match.

And it’s not just the Lionesses. Across women’s football, players’ music taste says a lot about how they prepare, reset and celebrate.

Then roll into:

  • Overboard, Yukon, DAISES, Speed Demon - Justin Bieber - Just has great songs to lock in with. If you need a focus mindset tune, he has you covered.

  • Man I Need - Olivia Dean - If any artist is WOSO coded, it’s Olivia Dean. The perfect songs to listen to if you like a chilled and calm lock in.

  • After All and Beautiful Crazy - Luke Combs - Country music is actually the go to for many players, mainly from the Arsenal’s Kim Little, Leah Williamson, Alessia Russo.

  • Headlines, Which one, Take care - Drake - Introspective pre-match vibes. Drake is at the top of a lot of player’s playlists.

  • NVEVAYoL - Bad Bunny - A key artists from the Spanish Player’s Playlists, and interestingly too, Lucy Bronze’s top artist of 2025. The Barcelona effect is still in motion.

  • Con Altura, Despechá, Antes de Morirme - Rosalía - An Alexia Putellas essential. Rosalia is an artist to get on your 2026 radar.

  • Untouched - The Veronicas - Calling all Aussies, Steph Catley has got you covered. A duo with some belters, which are perfect to exert those pre-match nerves.

  • Tacata Remix - Vicky Lopez is a huge fan of the Dembow genre. Patri even hyped her up pre-Euro group stage match with a Tacata remix, and went on to score. Safe to say it works.

  • The Man - Taylor Swift - An artist that a lot of top ballers use to lock into game mode, but we can’t mention Taylor without mentioning that Vivianne Miedema is a huge Swiftie. There to help the Dutch forward through game-days, rest-days and hard days, Taylor is certainly a key ingredient to her success.

  • Calvin Harris - Very popular amongst the crowd, giving that walk-out energy, and final switch-on moment.

We’ve pulled all of this, and more, into one playlist. Now we want to know yours. What songs remind you of football? What do you play to get in the zone, celebrate a win, or sit with a loss?

Send us your favourites, and if they fit the vibe, we’ll add them to the GIRLACTICO's Ultimate WOSO Playlist.
