Lucy Bronze has never been one to stay in a singular lane. Whether that’s moving abroad, stepping into different roles on the pitch, or now leaning further into fashion, she’s always been open to trying something new. Her latest collaboration with Aligne, alongside founder Ginny Seymour, is a collection that’s versatile, bold, and very much reflective of her.
Landing just in time for spring/summer, the range is full of pieces that feel easy to wear but still stand out. Lucy has been heavily involved in the process, trying things on, tweaking fits, going back and forth until everything feels right. There’s a consistency to the range that feels as though it’s been built around how someone actually lives in clothes, not just how they look on a hanger.
Comfort, practicality and style are at the centre of this collection, and that is exactly what the line delivers.
Statement outerwear & denim staples
The collection opens with a real standout in the butter yellow leather jacket. It’s one of those pieces that instantly carries an outfit, soft enough in colour for spring and summer, but still bold enough to feel like a statement. It’s the kind of thing you throw on and don’t need to overthink anything else.
Alongside that, the denim pieces bring in a more everyday feel.
The boxy denim polo has that slightly sporty edge to it, relaxed but still structured enough to hold its shape. It’s easy, wearable, and feels like something you’ll keep reaching for.
The funnel neck top leans a bit more into a statement silhouette. It’s sharper, more structured, and the adjustable details mean you can play around with the fit depending on how you want it to sit.
And then the jorts, because it wouldn’t be a proper spring/summer drop without them. Everyone needs a staple short in their wardrobe, especially with adjustable waist drawstring which we don’t tend to see these days. This piece feels nostalgic but also refreshing and modern. Plus, they work perfectly with both denim tops if you’re into a double denim look, but equally just as well with something simple.
Together, the denim pieces feel like solid, everyday staples, while the leather jacket sits on its own as the standout.
Matching set: linen waistcoat & tailored shorts
This is where the collection really taps into summer dressing.
The linen waistcoat and tailored shorts work as a full set, and it’s one of those looks that feels just as right at a wedding as it does on holiday. The butter yellow carries through here too, giving it that light, seasonal feel without being too safe.
The linen makes it breathable for hot weather and you can dress it up properly or just throw it on with trainers and keep it casual. Either way, it feels put together without trying too hard.
Matching set: denim bouclé jacket & culottes
A set that is very UK summer-coded, in the best way.
The denim bouclé jacket is that layer you end up reaching for constantly. Lightweight enough to carry around, but still does the job when the weather inevitably drops. It’s practical, but doesn’t feel boring.
Paired with the culottes, it becomes a really clean two-piece. But equally, both pieces stand on their own. The culottes especially are one of those items that will slot into pretty much anything from a hoodie, to a knit or even a vest. It’s flexible, which is exactly what you want from summer clothes here.
Matching set: crochet polo & trousers
The final set leans more into holiday dressing.
The crochet two-piece feels like it’s made for heat, as it’s breathable and light. It’s the kind of outfit you pack knowing you’ll actually wear it, whether that’s during the day or in the evening.
There’s something about it that feels put together without needing any effort. You can just throw it on and go, which is exactly what you want when it’s hot and you don’t want to overthink anything.
More than anything, this collection is about redefining basics to elevate them to feel more adjustable, easy to dress up and a bit quirky. They are pieces that you will actually reach for in your wardrobe, and feel effortlessly styled.
