Job Description

Location: London

Working Hours: full-time (will require evening & weekend work)

Salary: £30k to £35k - Dependent on experience.

GIRLACTICO is the digital home for the women’s football fan. We don't just cover the game; we live the culture, champion the community, and shape the conversation.

We create social-first content, original formats, editorial, events and brand campaigns designed for the next generation of women’s football fans.

As we grow our original video output, we're looking for a Social Video Editor & Videographer to become a key part of our in-house creative team.

The Role

You'll be responsible for capturing and editing content across GIRLACTICO - from fast-turnaround TikToks and Reels to player interviews, original formats, matchday content, YouTube shows, events and major branded campaigns.

You'll work particularly closely with our Social Video Producer, taking concepts and briefs and helping turn them into brilliant finished content.

This isn't a traditional videographer role.

You'll need to understand how content needs to look, feel and move on social - strong hooks, great pacing, creative editing, captions, sound, graphics and an instinct for the moments people will want to watch and share.

You'll also help us scale our production capabilities, bringing in and managing trusted freelance videographers and additional production crew when a shoot requires more than one person.

Responsibilities:

  • Shoot and edit high-quality, social-first video across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and other GIRLACTICO channels.

  • Film a range of content including player interviews, original formats, matchdays, fan content, events, office content and branded campaigns.

  • Turn raw footage into engaging edits with strong hooks, pacing, storytelling, captions, sound and graphics.

  • Work closely with the Social Video Producer to bring concepts and creative briefs to life, contributing ideas on how content should be shot and edited.

  • Maximise every shoot by creating multiple social cutdowns and platform-specific assets from the content captured.

  • Help develop a distinctive and consistent GIRLACTICO visual and editing style across our original formats.

  • Take ownership of the technical side of shoots, including camera, lighting and audio.

  • Manage footage, project files, edit templates and video assets to maintain an organised production workflow.

  • Support larger productions by sourcing, briefing and working with freelance videographers and additional production crew when required.

  • Work with the wider creative and commercial teams to deliver high-quality branded content and campaigns.

About You

  • Around 2+ years' experience in video editing, videography, social content or a similar creative role.

  • A strong portfolio of social-first video content.

  • Strong editing skills and confidence using Adobe Premiere Pro, with After Effects or motion graphics experience a bonus.

  • Confident shooting with professional cameras and working with lighting and audio equipment.

  • A strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, both creatively and culturally.

  • An instinct for hooks, pacing, storytelling and audience retention.

  • A strong creative eye and ability to make content feel polished while still feeling native to social.

  • Comfortable working independently on smaller shoots and as part of a wider production team on larger projects.

  • Able to work quickly and confidently in fast-paced, reactive environments.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple edits and projects at once.

  • An understanding of women's football and wider football culture.

  • A network of freelance videographers and production talent - or the confidence to build one - would be a bonus.

Closing Date: Wednesday 13th October

How to Apply: Please submit your CV and a portfolio/showreel showcasing your video work.

We'd particularly love to see:

  • Examples of short-form content you've shot and edited for TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts.

  • Examples of longer-form video, interviews or original formats you've worked on.

  • Any work within sport, entertainment, fashion, culture or creator-led content.

  • A short explanation of your role in each piece — particularly where you were responsible for shooting, editing or both.
