From Pitch to Street: Scandinavian WSL Players With Style (and Where to Steal Their Looks)

Scandi style has been quietly running the fashion game for a while now, and if you’ve clocked your favourite players’ off-duty fits recently, chances are they’ve been on the same wavelength. Clean lines, muted tones, practical layers. No fuss, no overthinking. Just cool.

If Scandi style is already your vibe, or you’re ready to hop on the hype train, we’ve pulled together some of our favourite footballer fits that tap straight into that Nordic minimalism.

Remy Siemsen

The Australian forward has clearly picked up on Swedish style after her time in the Swedish league since 2024. Here are two of our favourite fit checks from Remy.

First up, the ultimate spring combo: cowboy boots, a pleated skirt, and a cropped trench coat. Minimal colours, clean lines, and effortless layering, all the hallmarks of Scandi style. Bonus: every piece is easily found online, on the high street, or even second-hand via Vinted if you want to get thrifty. It’s a look you can throw together ASAP and instantly feel spring-ready.

This fit is easily one of our all-time favourites in women’s football fashion. The neutral base does all the heavy lifting: beige jorts paired with black loafers, belt, top and bag keep everything clean, effortless and wearable. Then comes the pop - the red cap and the hounstooth snood add just enough colour and texture to lift the look without overpowering it. Perfectly balanced, perfectly Scandi, no notes.

Next up is Swedish international Hanna Lundkvist. After completing her January move to Manchester United, her outfits are officially firmly on our radar.

Scandi style thrives on elevated basics, muted tones and silhouettes that speak for themselves, and this beige two-piece is exactly that. It might sound understated on paper, but once it’s on, it does all the talking. The waistcoat sits perfectly, paired with matching jeans that look like they were made for each other, even if they weren’t technically bought as a set.

Finished with leopard-print oval sunglasses and a slicked-back bun, the look feels effortless, intentional and quietly cool. The kind of outfit that proves Scandi style is all about getting the basics right.

Beata Olsson

Straight from the Damallsvenskan to the WSL, Beate Olsson is bringing both football IQ and fashion IQ with her. Having spent her entire career in Sweden, the Scandi influence is natural, and it shows.

This is a summer outfit we’re already bookmarking. A long white linen skirt (an absolute staple) paired with an oversized navy tee keeps things relaxed but polished. The blue-and-white Adidas Spezials tie it all together perfectly, finishing the look without overcomplicating it. Simple, functional, and very easy to love.

The Danish forward is enjoying a strong season at Spurs, who currently sit fifth in the table following some smart and impressive investment. Off the pitch, her style is just as reliable.

This is another perfect spring-summer fit: effortless, wearable, and quietly impactful. The black jorts ground the look, while the blue linen shirt adds contrast and movement, making the whole outfit pop without trying too hard. It’s the kind of throw-on combination that still looks considered and very on-brand for Scandi style.
