2025 felt like a win for all women in sport, this wasn’t a year dominated by one storyline, it was a year where excellence showed up everywhere.

And whilst we share that collective joy and celebrate everyone in the game, instead of asking who was best, we’re asking who finished 2025 as the most decorated footballer of the year.

Whilst injuries disrupted parts of Bunny’s year, and Jamaica had no major international tournament, Shaw's scoring efficiency remained elite, winning the WSL Golden Boot, joint with Alessia Russo, but with much fewer appearances.

Bunny also went on to be honoured with the Cyrille Regis Award at the Football Black List awards, a brilliant achievement recognising her outstanding contribution to the Black Community and football over the year.

Choosing the most decorated footballer of 2025 was never going to be easy, and that's the point... The bar has been set, and the standard keeps rising.
